Terms of Service
DRAFT — must be reviewed by a Netherlands/EU lawyer before publication. Consumer-protection rules (incl. Dutch and EU law) constrain what an app's terms can say and how; this draft captures Eayni's actual product and intent so the lawyer works from reality. Publish and link from Settings (the "Terms of use" link currently has no destination) and the store listings.
1. Agreement
By creating an account or using Eayni you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter a marriage under your local law. Eayni is intended for Muslims seeking marriage. One account per person; accounts are personal and non-transferable.
3. What Eayni is
Eayni is an intentional matrimonial service. Its design is deliberately limited: a small number of curated profiles per day, a limited number of daily choices, a maximum of three active conversations at a time, and time-limited (48-hour) chats. We provide the introduction platform; we are not a matchmaking guarantor and do not promise a match, a relationship, or a marriage.
4. Verification & reviewer review
To keep the community genuine, we require phone verification and photo verification, and trained reviewers check profiles before they enter matching. Reviewers may record internal quality and compatibility signals used only to order and balance suggestions (see the Privacy Policy). Providing false information, or another person's photos, is grounds for removal.
5. Guardian (mahram) access
You may choose to give a guardian a read-only view of your activity milestones via a family code. You control this and can revoke it at any time. Private message contents are never shared with a guardian.
6. Your conduct
You agree to engage honestly, respectfully, and in keeping with the app's marriage-focused purpose and Islamic values. You will not:
- harass, threaten, deceive, or impersonate anyone;
- post explicit, hateful, violent, or unlawful content;
- solicit money, advertise, or use Eayni for any commercial purpose;
- share others' private information or screenshots;
- use the app if under 18 or on behalf of someone else.
We provide in-app blocking and reporting; reports are reviewed and may lead to warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of your photos, text and messages. You grant Eayni a limited licence to host, display and process them only to operate the service (including creating the blurred photo set shown to other members, and delivering messages to your matches). We do not sell your content or use it for advertising.
8. Safety — important
Eayni verifies photos but does not run background or criminal checks. You are responsible for your own safety and decisions. Meet new people cautiously, in public or chaperoned settings, and involve your family. Eayni is not liable for the conduct of any member, online or offline.
9. Payments
Eayni is free to use for the whole path from introduction to meeting. Eayni Premium is an optional subscription that adds six introductions a day instead of three, a single view of all your profiles, priority interest, deeper filters and a second city.
Premium is offered at €12 per week for a one-week term, €9 per week billed monthly, and €6 per week billed quarterly. Prices include VAT. Before launch these must match the products actually configured in App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
Subscriptions are sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under those stores' terms; for billing, the store is your counterparty, not Eayni. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the term ends. You cancel in your Apple or Google account settings — the app links you there, but we cannot cancel a store subscription on your behalf. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten a term you have already paid for. Refunds are handled under the relevant store's policy.
As a consumer in the EU you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. Where you ask us to begin the service immediately, that right ends once the service has been fully performed, and the store may ask you to acknowledge this at purchase. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory statutory right you have.
10. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms or that we reasonably believe harm members or the service. You may delete your account at any time in Settings; deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
One thing to understand before you sign out or delete. Eayni signs you in anonymously — there is no password and no other recoverable credential. Signing out or deleting therefore ends that identity permanently: you cannot sign back in to the same account afterwards, and we have no way to restore it for you. Deleting removes your profile, your photos (originals and blurred copies), your matches and the messages inside them.
11. Availability & changes
We may update, pause, or discontinue features. We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We will notify you in-app of material changes to these Terms; continued use after changes means acceptance.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Eayni is provided "as is"; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for outcomes of introductions. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch/EU law (including for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply. Disputes are subject to the competent Netherlands courts, without prejudice to your statutory rights.

15. Open points to settle before publication
FOR THE REVIEWING LAWYER AND FOR US
- Subscription products. The prices in §9 must match the products actually configured in App Store Connect and Google Play Console at launch, and the store-side cancellation flow must match what §9 describes.
- Open points in the Privacy Policy. The Supabase region and the SMS verification route are still unconfirmed; see §15 of the Privacy Policy. Both affect statements made there rather than here, but they gate publication of both documents.
